Q: Does the Eagle Eye work outside the home?A: Yes. The Eagle Eye extends the features of an in-home medical alert system, nationwide, on a Cellular Network BASE FREE. With its GPS capabilities it also has geo-fencing and breadcrumbing. There is no need to do anything but charge the unit (Charge the device for 8-12 hours before first use). The Eagle Eye will be fully programmed and ready to travel or stay relaxing in your home.
Q: How does it work outside my home?A: The Eagle Eye Device combines GPS (Global Positioning Satellite) and cellular technology, enabling our monitoring center to be notified of your location and establish 2-way communication. The Eagle Eye can be used by anyone who requires 24/7 Medical Alert Protection. This device is intended for two-way communication, but when the SOS button is pushed, and held down for a few seconds, you are connected to a Safe Watch America Monitoring Specialist and if you can't speak we will send you help. Charge the device at least every other day (depending on use) for about an hour and you will need to be able to charge the battery to keep your 24/7 monitoring access.

What is GPS? Does it really have GPS? GPS stands for Global Positioning System, which means if you are wearing your Safe Watch anywhere in the USA, Safe Watch Monitoring can pin-point your location. Yes, Safe Watch has a miniature fully functioning GPS, but like all things there are occasions where your signal can be lost and requires a "re-ping" (which means you would need to push the Activation screen again) to re-locate your current position. Safe Watch has built-in hardware that enables the device to "ping" or find the nearest cellular tower. Your Safe Watch has the authority and clearance to access any of T-Mobile, AT&T and Sprint cellular towers. No matter where you go, you’re completely covered!

Q: Do I need a cell phone? A: You do not need a cell phone. The Eagle Eye utilizes cellular and GPS technology which is included in the price of our service.
Q: Do I need a dedicated home phone land line to use Eagle Eye? A: No, a landline phone is not required. The Eagle Eye does not have a Base Station (which connects to your home phone line, and only have a range of 400 to 1000 feet) like most Personal Emergency Device/Medical Alert companies require because the Eagle Eye uses cellular and GPS technology.
Q: How do I make an emergency call with my Eagle Eye? A: Make sure you have charged your Eagle Eye. If yes, just push the SOS emergency button to connect you to our 24/7 emergency center.
Q: Why is there a contract to use Eagle Eye? A: The Eagle Eye has a contract, because you do receive the Eagle Eye product for FREE, but you are required to agree (E-signature) to a 3 year Monitoring contract. This monitoring contract allows you the Eagle Eye user to have 24/7 Medical Alert Monitoring service for 3years.
Q: What if I choose not to be bound by a contract? A: You do not have to have a 3 year contract to use Eagle Eye IF you purchase the full price of the unit at $499.00 and have a user subscription plan.
Q: Is the Eagle Eye waterproof? A: No, but it is Water Resistant. The Eagle Eye is not designed to be submerged or exposed to water for a prolonged period of time.
Q: Will help be sent if I am unable to communicate with, or hear, the operator? A: Yes. If you are unable to communicate with our monitoring center after pressing the SOS emergency button, help will be dispatched. Your Safe Watch has been tested to have clear communication (speak and hear) if you were a few feet away from the microphone and speaker. You don't need to place your ear or mouth next to the unit to be heard by the Safe Watch America Monitoring Center. The specialist will be able to hear you and you will be able to hear clearly and with volume.
Q: Does the mobile device have any wires?A: Our cradle charger has an electrical cord to charge the Eagle Eye mobile device.
Q: Do you carry the Eagle Eye with you like a mobile phone?A: Always take the Eagle Eye with you when you leave home. The Eagle Eye comes with a convenient carry case and a lanyard for your preference of wearing it. You can call for help by pressing the SOS emergency button on the Eagle Eye device. If you are testing your Eagle Eye, it is very important to tell the operator you are testing. Otherwise, if you do not respond when they speak to you, they will dispatch emergency services to your location. Always speak to the operator and tell them your situation, if you are able.

Q: Why is the Eagle Eye more expensive than other Personal Emergency Response Systems/ Medical Alert Systems?A: There are some low-cost cellular based, single button units that seniors can buy to be connected to a call center. But as with most things, low-cost can mean a lower level of service. These companies may instruct you to go directly to 911 in a medical emergency. By holding your button for a long time, the unit will bypass their call center and connect you to 911. Then, like using your own cell phone, you are on your own to deal with a 911 operator during your emergency. While 911 is a great system, when connected via a cell phone or low-cost alert button, the operator does not know who you are, does not know your medical conditions, can’t call your family and may not even know where you are located. Imagine trying to communicate all of this in the midst of a serious medical emergency.
With a more robust system, like the Eagle Eye, a simple push of the button will connect you to our trained emergency operator who knows exactly how to help you, where you are located and can send help to you even if you can’t speak, whether you are at home or away from home.
Q: If you sign up for the yearly plan and something happens to the person who will have the device on them, (nursing home, death, etc.), is the remainder of the year refundable?A: In the event that the Subscriber has been admitted to a nursing home or dies, for any reason, while at home alone during the term of the 3 year (36 month) agreement, Safe Watch America shall prorate the difference of the prepaid agreement ("Refund") to an authorized representative upon submission of a written proof that the Subscriber died home alone (and provides a death certificate) or has been admitted to a nursing home. This must be initiated by the Subscriber’s authorized representative and submitted to Safe Watch America in writing no later than 3 months from the date of the Subscriber's death and/or admittance into a nursing home.
Q: Is the monitoring service the only cost - is there an extra fee for the equipment?A: Depending on the Agreement, there may be an Activation and/or Set Up fee. Q: Do I have to sign a wireless service contract?A: No, the mobile service is included with your monitoring plan.
Q: Does this system only work for certain cellular company subscribers?A: You don't have to subscriber to AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, or any other cellular company to utilize our service. The Eagle Eye uses ALL cellular networks and this is included in the price of the plan you choose. So this works for any subscribers as long as they live in an area that has cellular tower coverage.
Q: Can your service be added to my current cellular phone plan?A: While we utilize all cellular networks to deliver our service it's not part of AT&T, T-Mobile, and Virgin Mobile, Verizon, or Sprint’s product offering. So we are unable to make this part of any cellular company bundled solutions.
Q: Is there a warranty on Eagle Eye?A: Yes, the Eagle Eye comes with a 1 Year Manufactures Warranty that covers any manufactures defects ONLY. If you break it by accident the Manufactures Warranty does not cover those issues. You would then have to pay a replacement cost of $499.00 for a brand new Eagle Eye device, or for $5 a month extra ($180.00 paid in full for the 3 year agreement) you can get the "Unconditional Warranty."
Q: What is Unconditional Warranty for Safe Watch?A: Unconditional Warranty is the ultimate protection for your Eagle Eye device. If anything happens to your Eagle Eye, the dog chews it, you run over it with a car, the grandchild hammers it, or you drop it in a pool... You are fully covered and with Unconditional Warranty no questions are asked. We will send you a new Eagle Eye at no additional cost to you. The cost is minimal, only $5 a month ($180.00 paid in full for the 3 year agreement).
Q: Are credit card and EFT (check) payment options available?A: Yes. We accept American Express, MasterCard, VISA, and Discover as well as payment by EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer).
Q: Do you provide FREE shipping?A: Yes. We provide ground (7-10 days) shipping at no charge.
Q: Do you offer next-day shipping?A: Optional next-day shipping is available for an additional fee.
Q: Is there a penalty for early cancellation? A: Yes. If you are not under a monthly binding contract, you may terminate this Agreement at any time by notifying Safe Watch America and returning the equipment to Safe Watch America at your expense. If you terminate contract during the term of your contract (if applicable) there will be a Two Hundred and Ninety Nine Dollars ($299.00) cancelation fee. System should be returned to Safe Watch America, 2400 Crestmoor Road, Nashville TN 37215. If the System is not returned within thirty (30) days following the termination or expiration of this Agreement, you shall pay Safe Watch America Six Hundred Dollars ($499.00) for the System.
Q: What are your hours of operation?A: Our monitoring center is available 24 hours a day, year round. For your convenience, the Safe Watch America Customer Support team is available from 8 am to 8 pm CST on weekdays.
Q: Are medical alerts (emergency and non-emergency) handled by live operators?A: Yes. All medical alerts are handled by live, trained professionals to ensure your safety and wellbeing.
